We used to be called University Web Chat

On December 12, 2009 we changed our name from University Web Chat to Milo Web Chat. Our domain name also changed from universitywebchat.com to milowebchat.com. Don't worry, all links to universitywebchat.com will continue to work for at least three years. Users hitting a URL at universitywebchat.com will immediately be redirected to the same URL but on milowebchat.com. If you have any questions kindly contact support.

The Technology Team

The technology team behind Milo Web Chat (Chris, Mindy, Abhijeet, Justin, Cate, Oleksandr and Minnur) have worked with or for the IT departments in higher education for years. We found that web chats were very popular for communicating with and recruiting students, but setting up a Web chat usually required installing complicated software that never worked quite right and was often far too difficult to use.

Based on our experience trying to help several University admissions teams select the right software and offer online chats for student information and recruitment sessions, we decided that we could build a better system. Milo Web Chat is that system.

Milo Web Chat is a service provided by Urban Insight, a Los Angeles-based company that provides website development services to educational organizations. We have been working with higher education organizations since 1998, and offer consulting and web application development services to several colleges and universities.
